Turkey Meatloaf

A tender, savory turkey meatloaf made with grated carrots, fresh thyme, and a hint of nutmeg.

Ingredients

1 lb 2 oz turkey fillet

2 medium carrots

2 eggs

1 sprig fresh thyme

Salt to taste

A pinch of ground nutmeg

Instructions

  1. Prepare the ingredients: Pass the turkey fillet through a meat grinder or process it in a food processor until finely minced. Wash and pat dry the thyme, then remove the leaves from the sprig. Beat the eggs with a pinch of salt. Peel and finely grate the carrots.
  2. Prepare and bake the meatloaf: In a large bowl, combine the ground turkey, beaten eggs, grated carrots, thyme leaves, and a pinch of ground nutmeg. Season with salt to taste and mix thoroughly until well combined.Lightly grease a loaf pan or individual ramekins with olive oil and transfer the mixture into the prepared dish(es). Bake in a preheated oven at 160°C (320°F) for 20–25 minutes, or until fully cooked. Allow the meatloaf to cool slightly before serving. It is best served cooled or at room temperature.
